Good morning all...
Bree had a really rough night last night. Yesterday they were adjusting her settings on her ventilator to help expand her lungs a little bit more because they had gotten an x ray back that showed her lungs were not expanding enough. Last night, she dropped her heart rate dangerously low, and all of her sats (her oxygen levels, blood pressure, and all that other stuff) twice in twenty minutes. So they ordered another x ray and saw that they were expanding her lungs too much and that was causing her to be stressed and drop all of her levels. They had thought that they might have caused one of her lungs to collapse, but luckily that was not the case. They have adjusted the settings back to what they were before they were messing with them, and she seems to be resting comfortably.
Also, her blood levels have been low as of last night so she will probably be receiving a transfusion of blood today. Her sugar levels in her blood have been high too...so overall she did not have a good night. Let's all hope and pray that she has a better day today.
