First tea party for two

I swear the girls are growing up and interacting more and more everyday. It warms my heart to see them being so sweet to one another. Riley is very much of a leader and director, while Bree is happy to comply and move right onto the next toy when Riley rips one out of her hand. (Keep your eye on the purple and white plate in these pictures.)

Blast from the past....

Here's the pictures that we had taken by a photographer in July when we were on our family vacation. Her name is Danielle Beauchaine and she is lives in Washington. She is such a sweet girl and we had a great time with her! Here is the photos that she took, with some editing on my part...I guess I am too picky!

A BIIIIIGG day!

I had all these plans in my head for what I was going to post for my blogs for the rest of the week. Bree must have heard them, or seen them or something because she went and made plans of her own. (I swear kids do that!)

Today, Bree:

- broke through her left front tooth. So, that brings the tooth count up to five for her. Three on top and two on bottom. Here in a day or so the other front tooth will come through and make it six.

 - Are you ready for this one?? You sure?????

BREE CAN SIT UP ON HER OWN!!!!!!!!! She sat up multiple times today long enough to play with a toy. She loses it when she gets excited and starts trying to kick her feet, but at least she is sitting up. Woo hoo! Now to work on being more stable, then onto positioning for crawling! (not to get ahead of myself or anything)

I promise that in the next few days I will try to catch this little miracle girl in the act of sitting and post some evidence pictures up here for you all to see!

Make castle!

Riley has re discovered the great outdoors. With our new fall weather here in Phoenix, (yes, temps in the 80's is fall weather here) she is loving every minute. One of her new favorite things to do is to draw me outside with enticing tidbits like "C'mon Mom mom, yet's make castle!". Of course, I cannot resist so we end up making masterpieces such as these:

Isn't it beautiful!

Riley apparently didn't agree and decided to make some castles of her own...

Here's one...

...and a few more.

This was a castle, but got squished when she decided to play on the playset. Survival of the fittest, right?

Halloweens past

Tonight you will be visited by three ghosts...they will show you the outfits of Halloween pasts. There will be three of Riley and one of Bree.....oooOOOOoooooOOOOooooo...

Okay, enough silly stuff! Riley and I (with Bree supervising) have been getting in the fall mood lately. We've done some fall crafts (which I will show a few this week) and inspired by a post from the board I belong to, I want to share the past costumes of the kiddos. So, without further ado, here they are!

A day off

We all get days off from our jobs, right? (unless you are a stay at home parent) So, I decided that I am going to give myself Sundays off from typing up a blog post...it will re-energize my creative-ness and allow me to come up with some big cool wonderful posts. This is me giving me a day off, really...even though I am on her typing a post. I really am not doing this, it is a figment of your imagination!
