Whoever made that saying never had a kiddo with sensory food aversions. Here in our house we encourage playing with food... but don't you worry, I make her help me clean up!
Oh I LOVE the pictures!! Owen thinks mealtime is playtime too. He started out with a TOTAL oral aversion when he was 4 months. (after 2 open heart surgeries, I don't blame him) Then he slowly got to where he is now, eating anything in front of him. I SO wish he had more energy to eat!
I really wanted to go to the clinic this month on blended foods but we'll be at Stanford that week. Take notes for me :).
We are a family of seven just starting out in life with each other...we have a preschooler named Riley Kay who was born 9-25-2007. We also have our second little girl, named Bree Marie who was born 15 weeks early on 9-10-2008. We also have our little man of the family iwho was born on 2-15-2011. Derrick Jason has extensive food allergies and has swallowing problems that require us to thicken his food. Fourth on our kid count is our best friend's daughter Katie Marie. She was born on 9-17-2007 so it is like we have twins with her and Riley! My husband, Adam and myself (Tasha) are young and fun parents who are loving and embracing every minute of our life! Linda is our best friend who we welcomed into our family with fun and open arms! Times can be tough, but the best way to get through them is to stick together!
