Okay, so here's the latest scoop: Bree no longer screams in pain when moved, has no fever and her petechiae are getting better. However, her nose is stuffier and now requires suctioning from the suction they have here at the hospital (bulb syringe wasn't getting it out anymore) and she is no longer tolerating her feeds. She throws up every other feed, and runs a big risk of aspiration when she does so. If she does aspirate it can lead to pneumonia, which then will lead to a longer hospitilization.
So, last night they did not give her her night drip just to make sure that her tummy will be empty today. I am still awaiting Dr. Hayes to come around (about 930) to figure out what the plan is for feeds today. I will update when I know more.
