Good afternoon everyone!

Bree is doing good today. We took Riley to see Bree for the first time and she did well. She peeked into the isolette and then put her hand nicely on the isolette...that's about all there was to it. With her age, I was happy she didn't scream and then bang on the isolette. All the nurses thought Riley was the cutest thing ever...and of course she loved all the attention.

Bree still has not had to be on her photo therapy lights for about a week, which means that her body has maintained it's bilirubin levels on it's own. They were able to lower her ventilator settings, so it may be soon they will try again to switch her to the regular ventilator. They put a tube down her throat into her stomach to try and start feeding her, but they are going to hold off because they were able to pull bile up out of her stomach.

In other good news, she is able to maintain her body tempature a little bit on her own. Her isolette is covered and maintained at 32 degrees celcius and she is maintaining her body tempature at 36.2 degrees celcius. Other than that, nothing new to report on Bree...

Tomorrow is Riley's first birthday...we can't believe time has flown by so fast!
Here's a picture from when she was first born...she has grown so much in a year!

Hope this finds everyone happy, healthy and in love with life!

Love
Adam, Tasha, Riley and Bree

Im so happy Bree is doing good. Before we know it, she will be home. I was just put on high risk because of my previous c-section and other things. Im 13 weeks. You and Bree give me so much hope!!! Best of luck and we are praying for Bree (as is the rest of the world :) ).

I am so glad Riley got to go visit Bree... she may not understand completely but I am sure it helps her to be able to put an image with everything you are dealing with. It will likely be good for Bree that she visited as well since children have amazing bonds with each other... I can't believe its been a year... so many First Birthdays in the days to come... Happy Birthday Big Sister Riley!
