Happy first birthday to our oldest daughter Riley!! She got to start the day in her pj's and got to open presents soon after everyone got up for the day...She didn't quite get the concept of opening the gifts, but Adam helped her along with making it to where she could rip the paper easily. She loves her new elmo guitar...and isn't quite sure of the TMX elmo, but is getting used to it. As usual, books are a big hit with her and she got plenty of those between everyone. I am looking forward to her party on Saturday...it will be great to celebrate with friends and family!

Bree is doing very well today. Her official report was back from her brain scan on monday and there is no increase in the stage of her brain bleed, but no decrease either. However, they did note that there was a clot (a scab) where the old bleeding was, so it is not actively bleeding. There is no evidence of new brain bleeds either! God is good!! I hope and pray that she has no more bleeds and her body is able to reabsorb the residual blood so that she can start going down in stages of the brain bleeds. Thank you for all your prayers as well!

Today was the first day we got to see her open her eyes. :) Her eyes don't really have color to them that I could see, but it was only for a few minutes that she was opening her eyes. Apparently she's been opening her eyes for about two weeks already, we just happened to not be there when she did have them open.
I had a bit of a mishap when we were at the hospital today so we are going to take it easy tonight. For some reason, I almost passed out while we were at the hospital. Even after eating, and drinking, and resting a bit I still feel light headed. :( So today is going to be a resting day for me...
Hope this finds everyone happy healthy and in love with life!

Take it easy; you need to get yourself better, too. My name is Kerri and I'm one of the Sept mommies from parents.com. I had my ds a week before Bree via c/s and not in such a spectacular way as you! I still feel a little funny time and again, myself. It just reminds you to take it a little slower. Glad to hear your baby girl is staying stable...good luck and God bless.

So glad to hear that Bree is remaining stable and there has been no increase in Bleeding..

Tasha sorry to hear your feeling out of sorts... take it easy for a few days... you have been very very busy this past week.

God, We ask you to continue to watch over the Gonce Family, most especially little Bree. Help her body heal so that soon she can do all the things little babies do and she can continue to bring her family Joy and happiness... Amen
